This book will take you from A - Z with full descriptions and explanations along the way. Examples are provided for people like myself who have to be shown HOW the explanation is played out. I am a hands on type of person and this book plainly laid out for me what was possible and what was impossible as far as Computer Forensics go. The fact that this book came with websites you can actually access was a major plus with me. It's easy for a book to point out certain facts but to see those facts in action, now THAT'S what I like to see. This book highlights actual cases as examples of how the law worked or did not work. Computer Forensics for Dummies comes with a mini dictionary of computer terms should you need to look up what the author is explaining as well as outlines briefly what is admissible and inadmissible in court. Computers for dummies takes you all the way from finding out your IP address to how to behave in court, how to protect evidence and what software is needed to procure evidence. Going back to school myself for Computer Networking, I find myself at a crossroads. When I read Computer Forensics for Dummies, it helped me to decide, this is the area of computers I would like to pursue. I love anything to do with the law and one of my passions is computers, so it just makes sense that this is a perfect area for me. I definitely advise anyone who would like to understand their computer or is looking to enter the Computer Forensic area to buy this book. It is simply one of the best laid out books with very descriptive explanations that make it very difficult to mess up. This has now become one of my favorite books!
